  Phor Tan Gaen of Wat Tung Lor was one of the venerable monks in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat. He was born on 5th April B.E 2449 and went into monkhood at the age of 21. When he was a teenager, Phor Tan Gaen has been practicing under the guidance Phor Tan Sang of Wat Wua Hor You before obtaining as a monk in BE.2470 at the age of 21.

  As Phor Tan Gaen reached the age of 21, he ordained as a monk under Phor Tan Sang of Wat Wua Hor You as his preceptor. Not long after, Phor Tan Gaen disrobed as a monk due to he was the only child in the family and he has to help out on his family's farm. At about when he was at the age of 31, Phor Tan Gaen reordained as a monk.

  Before residing in Wat Tung Lor, Phor Tan Gaen gained his knowledge in mastering his magic science, Dharma's way from various monk like Phor Tan Sang of Wat Wua Hor You, Phor Tan Dayt of Wat Kuan-Goie, Phor Tan Tat of Wat Tayp Mong Kon & Phor Tan Gliang. When Phor Tan Gaen resided in Wat Tung Lor, it was a very rundown temple with very limited facilities. Due to the reason that Phor Tan Gaen has a very powerful in his Baramee and many miracles experiences, many of his believers traveled from different parts of Thailand to worship his sacred object and blessing.

  One of the highly seek amulets which are the Phra Pidta of Phor Tan Gaen consecrated using the ancient method according to the traditional text using with Ngern Yuang using Lor Boran technique. The very first batch of Phra Pidta consecrated by Phor Tan Gaen using this technique was in B.E 2490.
